Job Summary

This role involves critical IT administration and support within the Maritime Security Center (MSZ) in Cuxhaven, a joint federal and coastal state facility ensuring safety along the German coast. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, optimization, and security of the VPN access infrastructure and various information systems, including collaboration tools, wikis, and monitoring platforms. Key responsibilities include technical support for specialized applications, creating system documentation, troubleshooting system malfunctions, and collaborating on IT projects. This position requires a degree in Computer Science or a related field, or relevant vocational training with at least five years of professional experience, along with strong networking and cybersecurity knowledge, particularly concerning Linux servers (Ubuntu/RedHat) and SINA products.
