Job Summary

This role as a Software Engineer specializing in Sensor Simulation involves modeling and mapping complex sensor technologies for advanced simulation applications at HENSOLDT, a leading provider of premium defense sensors. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and developing robust software components utilizing established design patterns, conducting thorough design and code reviews, and implementing comprehensive unit and integration tests. A core focus is developing according to the Software Development Plan and contributing to concepts for automated testing and deployment pipelines. The ideal candidate must possess a degree in Computer Science, Physics, or Mathematics, coupled with deep technical knowledge in Software Engineering. Essential technical skills include proficiency in Modern C/C++, Java, and database programming (SQL/OR-Mapping). Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, CI/CD tools (Jenkins/Bamboo), and simulation standards (DIS, HLA) is mandatory. Fluency in both German and English is required for effective communication. This position offers the chance to work on critical defense and surveillance systems in a highly specialized field.
