Job Summary

As an ASIC Layout Engineer in the aerospace sector, you will be responsible for the design planning and implementation of RF/Analog SiGe-BiCMOS circuit modules using Cadence Virtuoso XL. Based in Munich, this full-time role involves managing the entire layout process from block-level design to full verification flows (DRC, LVS) using Cadence Assura/PVS tools. You will collaborate closely with RF-IC design and system teams on floorplanning and contribute to the critical tape-out procedures. Additionally, you will utilize scripting languages like Skill or Python to automate tasks and improve workflow efficiency. This position offers a unique opportunity to work for a renowned aerospace client, applying specialized layout techniques for device matching, parasitic reduction, and RF shielding in a high-stakes engineering environment.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Aerospace Engineering, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in RF/Analog layout design
  • Extensive knowledge of SiGe-BiCMOS manufacturing processes
  • Proven experience with the complete design flow from schematic to GDSII
  • Practical experience in layout verification and process design kits (PDKs)
  • Background in aerospace engineering or related high-tech industries
