Job Summary
This role involves joining the high-tech maritime leader TKMS ATLAS ELEKTRONIK in Bremen to design and specify complex simulation solutions. As a System Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the entire development lifecycle, from initial customer consultation and requirements engineering to defining system architectures and decomposition into sub-elements. You will model system components and establish technical standards to ensure seamless integration. A unique aspect of this position is the focus on advanced simulation protocols like Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) and High-Level Architecture (HLA) within the maritime defense sector. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge hydroacoustic and sensor technology while collaborating with multidisciplinary project teams to overcome technical challenges in a fast-paced, international environment.
Required Skills
Education
University degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Communications Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in the commissioning and utilization of simulation systems with a focus on software
- Practical experience with simulation standards DIS and HLA
- Proven experience in requirements definition and architectural modeling using industry-standard tools
- Experience in specifying complex system architectures and system decomposition
