Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated doctoral candidate to join the interdisciplinary Collaborative Research Centre CASCAID (Cellular and Systems Control of Autoimmune Disease) in Erlangen, a leading European immunology research hub. The role involves contributing to cutting-edge translational immunology projects focused on achieving sustained drug-free remission in chronic inflammatory diseases like arthritis and lupus. Day-to-day tasks include processing complex tissue and patient samples, conducting functional studies using cell culture or preclinical systems, and processing and interpreting extensive molecular data sets to test scientific hypotheses. Key qualifications include a Master's degree in a relevant life science field (Immunology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry) and a strong interest in immunological research. The position offers integration into the LIFE@FAU graduate school, access to state-of-the-art technological platforms, and support for career development and international conference participation, making it ideal for aspiring research scientists.
