Job Summary

This Postdoctoral position, integrated within the PERCOLATE research consortium, focuses on developing advanced diagnostic methods for Long-COVID (LC) and Post-Vaccination Syndrome (Post-VAC) based on functional autoantibodies (GPCR-fAAb). The successful candidate will be responsible for developing alternative assays to detect functional active GPCR-AAbs from patient sera, moving beyond traditional rat cardiomyocyte models to human systems like hiPSC-derived cardiomyocytes or standard human cell lines. This involves utilizing techniques such as genetically encoded reporter lines or visualizing receptor internalization. Furthermore, the role requires developing an independent research project aimed at a better mechanistic understanding of the disease, focusing on the role of autoantibodies or immune cells. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious scientist with a PhD in cell or molecular biology to contribute to cutting-edge translational research in a well-equipped, international academic environment.
