Job Summary
The Technical University of Munich (TUM) is seeking an experienced IT Network Administrator to lead the Network Technology division within Building Management at the Garching Research Campus. In this full-time, permanent role, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and operation of the entire IT infrastructure and networks managed by the Central Department 4 (ZA4). This includes critical systems like building control technology, charging stations, and PV systems. Day-to-day tasks involve managing documentation and monitoring software (HPE IMC, Solarwinds), upgrading building control systems (JCI MXI64, Siemens Desigo CC), and overseeing firewalls (Sophos, Fortigate). You will also handle project management related to IT infrastructure, manage external service providers, and ensure compliance with IT security standards. This position is crucial for maintaining the infrastructure that supports world-class research and teaching at TUM.
Required Skills
Education
University degree (Bachelor or equivalent Diploma) in Computer Science, Network Technology, or a comparable field.
Experience
- Professional experience in building automation technology and/or technical project management (advantageous)
- Professional experience in service provider management (advantageous)
