Job Summary
Join the Central Department 4 (ZA4) at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) in Garching as a Network Technician, playing a vital role in maintaining and expanding the IT infrastructure for research and teaching. Day-to-day responsibilities include the installation, configuration, and operation of network infrastructure, including PV, charging stations, and building management systems. You will manage documentation and monitoring software (HPE IMC, Solarwinds IPAM, MACMON, Solarwinds KIWI), handle firewall administration (Sophos, Fortigate), and optimize the campus-wide automation network (JCI MXI64) across approximately 100 buildings. The ideal candidate has a technical qualification in IT (Electrotechnology/Informatics/Network Technology), professional experience in building automation technology, and fluency in German.
