Job Summary
This critical role involves taking overall technical responsibility for AI Engineering, including defining architecture, standards, tooling, and quality assurance within a leading European media house focused on agriculture and nature. The Lead AI Engineer will be responsible for building and implementing the AI Engineering roadmap, prioritizing and delivering reference architectures, and creating reusable components, particularly for an Agent/Assistant platform. Key responsibilities also include establishing robust AI patterns (such as RAG/Knowledge Design and Prompting), ensuring secure operations through Security-by-Design and Responsible AI guidelines, and enabling domain teams through playbooks and training. Candidates must possess a strong background in digital and AI domains, coupled with experience leading digital initiatives or platforms, and the ability to pragmatically integrate AI-supported workflows across Product, Engineering, and Data/AI teams in a hybrid setting in Munich.
Required Skills
Education
Completed IT/Digital vocational training or university degree in an IT/Digital field (e.g., Computer Science, Business Informatics, Product Management)
Experience
- Several years of experience in managing digital projects, products, or platforms (e.g., as Product Owner, Project/Program Manager, or Team Leader)
- Profound experience in the Digital and AI sectors
- Experience in steering digital initiatives
- Experience in establishing AI-supported workflows and enabling teams
