Job Summary

As the Lead AI Engineer at Europe's leading media house for agriculture and nature, you will spearhead the establishment of a central AI engineering function in Munich. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve taking full technical ownership of AI architecture, standards, and tooling. You will build a reusable agent/assistant platform, implement RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) patterns, and ensure secure operations through 'Security-by-Design' and Responsible AI guardrails. Beyond technical execution, you will lead an AI engineering community, enabling domain teams through playbooks and training while delivering pilot use cases. Required Skills

Education

Successfully completed IT/digital vocational training or a university degree in an IT/digital field (e.g., Business Informatics, Computer Science, or Product Management).

Experience

  • Several years of experience in managing digital projects, products, or platforms (e.g., as Product Owner, Project/Program Manager, or Team Lead)
  • Profound professional experience in the digital and AI sectors
  • Experience in establishing technical standards, architectures, and reusable building blocks
  • Proven track record in cross-functional collaboration between Product, Engineering, and Data/AI teams
