Job Summary

This role involves shaping the secure and efficient implementation of biometrics within sovereign domains, such as passport, identification, and border control systems, for Germany's federal cybersecurity agency. The successful candidate will evaluate the security and performance of biometrics systems, coordinate development and piloting projects with national security authorities, industry, and research institutions, and manage technical requirements both nationally and internationally. Depending on the specific focus, responsibilities may include specifying technical guidelines and data exchange formats (like XML, JSON, BPMN) or supporting software implementation projects, including component testing, using agile methodologies. This position offers the opportunity to directly contribute to Germany's cybersecurity and the advancement of state digitization processes in a rapidly evolving, high-impact field.

Required Skills

Education

University Diploma (Diplom Uni) or Master's degree in Computer Science, Technical Informatics, IT Security, Physics, Mathematics, Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, IT Management, or Business Informatics.
