Job Summary
The City Administration of Speyer is seeking a dedicated Financial Applications Specialist to manage the operational integrity and functionality of their financial applications, including the HKR (Budget/Cash/Accounting) and e-invoicing systems. Key daily responsibilities involve maintaining application and database servers, managing data backups, installing updates and hotfixes, and customizing programs to meet local requirements. This role acts as a crucial interface between internal departments and external software manufacturers, providing essential support, troubleshooting errors, and conducting staff training on system usage and new software introductions. Candidates must possess a minimum Bachelor's degree in IT or a completed qualification as an IT Specialist in System Integration. Professional experience in these areas is highly desirable, coupled with strong analytical skills, resilience, and a solution-oriented approach to optimizing financial workflows.

Completed training as an IT Specialist (System Integration) OR University degree (minimum Bachelor's degree) in the IT/Computer Science area
Experience
- Professional experience related to the aforementioned financial application management tasks (desirable)
- Experience in supporting the planning of hardware and software
- Experience in collaborating on project groups concerning fundamental financial accounting and programming issues
