Job Summary
This role is for an IT Security Consultant focused on driving the digitization and modernization of Berlin's public administration. The consultant will be responsible for creating, evaluating, and reviewing complex security concepts, strictly applying BSI standards (IT-Grundschutz). Day-to-day tasks involve providing expert advice on information security to internal stakeholders, managing security requirements, and conducting deep network-related security analyses of customer IT infrastructures to identify vulnerabilities. The role also includes leading IT security projects, conceptualizing and implementing Managed Security Services, and ensuring compliance with established architectural and regulatory standards of the State of Berlin. This position requires strong conceptual and analytical skills, significant experience in information security consulting, and a willingness to undergo an extended security clearance process.
Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's degree, university of applied sciences education, or comparable acquired knowledge and skills
Experience
- Professional experience in providing targeted consulting services in the field of information security
- Experience in applying BSI methodology for security analyses
- Experience in system analysis of complex existing IT environments (infrastructure and software)
- Experience in planning security architectures and building an Information Security Management System (ISMS)
