Job Summary

The University Hospital Heidelberg is seeking a Biological Laboratory Technician to join the Research Department for Molecular and Regenerative Orthopedics, focusing on developing new therapies for musculoskeletal regeneration. This role involves supporting a third-party funded project investigating the regenerative properties of extracellular vesicles from stem cells. Day-to-day duties include strict adherence to established protocols for cell culture, preparation of extracellular vesicles, and executing routine protein biochemical, molecular biological (RNA/DNA isolation), and histological procedures (tissue embedding, staining). The ideal candidate holds a qualification as a Biological Laboratory Technician or equivalent with an excellent degree, possesses experience in standardized laboratory work, and demonstrates meticulous documentation skills, strong teamwork, and a high level of initiative and engagement in scientific research. This is a two-year fixed-term contract starting May 1, 2026, offering interdisciplinary collaboration and opportunities for scientific publication.
