Job Summary

This role offers a unique opportunity as a Trainee Patent Attorney within one of Europe's most renowned Intellectual Property law firms, specializing in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering. The successful candidate will embark on a funded, comprehensive training program to qualify as a German and European Patent Attorney. Day-to-day responsibilities include supporting senior patent attorneys, drafting complex patent applications in collaboration with inventors, assessing patentability based on official reports, and actively participating in opposition and appeal proceedings before the German Patent and Trademark Office (DPMA) and the European Patent Office (EPO). Key qualifications include a very strong university degree, potentially a doctorate, in a relevant engineering or science discipline, coupled with initial technical professional experience. This position requires excellent analytical skills, a high degree of self-motivation, and fluency in both German and English, offering outstanding career development and a supportive work environment in Munich.
