This role offers comprehensive training as a German and European Patent Attorney Candidate, focusing on Intellectual Property (IP) within the field of Physics. The successful candidate will be deeply involved in all facets of industrial property rights, supporting experienced patent attorneys in client consultations and the preparation of patent applications, including drafting applications in consultation with inventors. Day-to-day tasks involve formulating opinions on the success prospects of patent applications based on search reports and examination decisions, and participating in oral hearings, opposition, and appeal proceedings before the German Patent and Trademark Office and the European Patent Office. This position requires a very strong university degree, potentially a doctorate, in Physics, coupled with initial professional experience in a technical field. Excellent analytical, abstract reasoning, and argumentation skills are essential, alongside a self-reliant and committed work ethic.
