Job Summary

The HTW Berlin is seeking a highly skilled Biological-Technical Assistant or Technician to join a third-party funded project (IBB-ProFit CyAge) until August 2027. This part-time role (65%) is based at the Campus Wilhelminenhof and involves providing essential experimental and organizational support to research efforts focused on human health improvement. The successful candidate will independently execute complex cell biological, biochemical, and molecular biological tasks, including the cultivation of human cells and yeast. Key responsibilities also encompass project-related procurement, lab management, and overall laboratory organization. A completed BTA qualification and extensive, proven professional experience in microbiology, cell culture, and molecular biology are mandatory, along with excellent German and English language skills and strong organizational talent. Completed vocational training as a Biological-Technical Assistant (BTA)

Experience

  • Extensive laboratory experience, ideally through proven professional experience in microbiology
  • Professional experience in cell culture technology
  • Professional experience in molecular biology
  • Experience working with primary cells (desirable)
  • Experience in performing cell-based assays, cloning, enzymatic assays, and cell biological cultivation techniques (desirable)
