Doctoral Researcher (PhD) in Molecular Tumor Biology | Promotion (m/w/d)
Universitätsklinikum Münster
Job Summary
This doctoral position within the Institute for Molecular Tumor Biology (IMTB) focuses on cutting-edge experimental medical research aimed at understanding the molecular mechanisms driving cell differentiation, tumor genesis, and immune cell function. The successful candidate will specifically investigate the role of the transcription factor PU.1, a key regulator of myeloid and lymphoid development, using innovative technologies to explore how three-dimensional changes in PU.1-chromatin architecture influence cell fate decisions and leukemia development. Candidates should possess a Master’s degree in Biology or Biochemistry, practical experience in cell culture and standard molecular biology techniques, and basic knowledge of the R programming language for data access and analysis. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-impact research, utilizing modern methods like Next-Generation Sequencing and functional genetic screens, within a supportive, interdisciplinary environment.
