Job Summary
The City of Ulm is seeking a dedicated Coordinator to drive the digitalization efforts across approximately 50 schools, specifically focusing on IT network and infrastructure management. This full-time, permanent role involves critical project leadership, planning, and execution related to active network components, both for new installations and existing systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating LAN/WLAN operations with IT service providers, managing the hardware and software lifecycle, and developing technical standards and process optimizations. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical IT field, possesses excellent knowledge of LAN/MAN/WAN, WLAN, VoIP, TCP/IP, and security components, and has experience implementing and managing Cisco solutions. This position requires strong communication skills to advise school personnel and a proactive, solution-oriented approach to complex IT challenges, ensuring modern and future-proof digital environments for education.
Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, technical IT study program, or comparable qualification. ITIL certification in IT Service Management.
Experience
- Professional experience in planning, execution, and project leadership for active network components
- Experience in coordinating LAN and WLAN network operations with IT service providers
- Experience in implementing and managing Cisco solutions (CCNA certification ideal)
- Experience with IT security standards and data protection regulations
