Job Summary

This role is for a proactive and experienced Senior Service Technician based in Berlin, focusing on ensuring the digital future of Germany's armed forces (Bundeswehr) by maintaining and modernizing one of the country's largest IT infrastructures. The technician will be responsible for the decentralized execution of Second Level Support within the Ministry of Defense, handling the acceptance, analysis, and resolution of incidents and requests across PC, telephony, LAN, and WAN environments. Key daily tasks include the installation, commissioning, upgrade, and maintenance of hardware and software, with a specific focus on Mobile Device Management (MDM). The ideal candidate must possess comprehensive knowledge of ticketing systems, knowledge databases, and ITIL processes, coupled with a relevant IT education and at least three years of professional experience. This position offers the opportunity to contribute directly to national security through challenging digitization projects, working closely with major vendors like Cisco and Microsoft, and participating in an on-call rotation and shift-like working model.

Experience

  • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience
  • Experience in customer projects within the industrial or public sector (advantageous)
  • Experience in DGUV V3 (German Social Accident Insurance Regulation 3) area
