Job Summary

The Police Headquarters of Middle Franconia is seeking a Radio Electronics Technician to join the ICT Technology department in Nuremberg. This role is crucial for maintaining internal security by ensuring the functionality of all digital radio communication systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include setting up, testing, and troubleshooting digital radio devices and associated communication technology at various service points and the operations center. You will perform software updates, repair equipment, and conduct detailed fault analysis using professional measuring instruments. The ideal candidate has a background in electronics (Information and System Technology, IT System Electronics, or Radio/Television Technology) with a focus on high-frequency or broadcast technology, and ideally, experience in digital radio systems. This position offers the security and benefits of public service employment, with the clear intention of transitioning the successful candidate from a fixed-term civil service employee contract (E 9a TV-L) into a permanent civil servant status (A 7 - A 9 BayBesG), provided all statutory requirements are met, including age limits and physical fitness.

Required Skills

Education

Successful completion of vocational training as an Electronics Technician (Information and System Technology), IT System Electronics Technician, Radio and Television Technician, or comparable educational qualification with a focus on high-frequency or broadcast technology.

Experience

  • Professional experience in digital radio technology (ideally)
  • At least five years of relevant professional experience after completing training (required for civil servant status)
  • Experience working in the public service for at least one year (required for civil servant status)
