Job Summary

This role involves supporting cutting-edge research in Molecular and Regenerative Orthopedics at the Heidelberg University Hospital, focusing on developing new therapies for musculoskeletal regeneration. The technician will be instrumental in a third-party funded project investigating the regenerative properties of extracellular vesicles derived from stem cells. Key daily tasks include performing standardized laboratory procedures such as cell culture, processing extracellular vesicles, and executing routine protein biochemical, molecular biological (RNA/DNA isolation), and histological techniques (tissue embedding, staining). The ideal candidate must possess a degree as a Biology Laboratory Technician or equivalent qualification with an excellent academic record, coupled with experience in standardized lab work, especially cell culture and routine molecular/protein chemistry methods. This position offers the opportunity to work with modern techniques, contribute to scientific publications, and collaborate interdisciplinarily with biologists, biochemists, and physicians.
