Job Summary

This role involves serving as the Lead Engineer for Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) within core project teams, providing crucial ILS expertise to project management and team members. Day-to-day responsibilities include generating ILS data modules using ASD standards (S1000D/S2000M), performing Logistic Support Analysis (LSA), and supporting obsolescence management and training activities. The Lead Engineer will also contribute to the development of electronic manuals, conduct availability, reliability, and maintainability (RAM) analyses, and identify spare parts and special tools. A key aspect is supporting the bid phase by assessing ILS requirements and risks for comprehensive solutions spanning control system automation, power generation, distribution, and propulsion systems for commercial and military vessels. This position is ideal for an experienced professional with a background in ILS or Service Engineering, ideally within the shipbuilding or industrial plant sector, who possesses strong analytical skills for technical documentation.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Electrical Engineering or successful completion of training as a Technician (with long-term professional experience)

Experience

  • Several years of experience in Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) / Integrated Product Support (IPS) or Service Engineering / Support in civil or military sectors
  • Extensive professional experience in project execution, engineering, and/or commissioning of industrial plants (if coming from a technical background/Technician qualification)
  • Profound experience in analyzing circuit diagrams and describing technical relationships
  • Experience with LSA / LCC / FMECA / RAM (Desirable)
  • Experience in the field of shipbuilding (surface/subsurface) (Advantageous)
  • Experience with the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr) maintenance (Desirable)
