Job Summary

This Postdoctoral position at the Institute for Process Data Processing and Electronics (IPE) focuses on developing sustainable storage solutions and minimizing data loading times for large-scale datasets within existing infrastructure. The role involves defining data organization for complex, multi-dimensional tomography data and implementing data reduction workflows. Key responsibilities include evaluating compression techniques for raw and reconstructed tomograms, creating optimal compression strategies for data archiving, and evaluating array databases for caching services. You will develop a software framework for data access and reduction, integrate this into data acquisition pipelines, and document APIs. The ideal candidate holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field, possesses strong programming skills (C and Python), and has experience in image processing and Linux environments.
