This role involves performing critical Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), specifically Radiographic Testing (RT), on cast components for a leading, climate-friendly steel company in Herzberg am Harz. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting radiographic and gamma radiation tests, meticulously evaluating and documenting results according to national and international standards and customer specifications. The technician will determine component testability, create irradiation plans, and assess images using globally recognized regulations. A key aspect is preparing for and supporting acceptance inspections with customers or inspection bodies. Candidates should have completed training as a Materials Tester, ideally in RT, or possess a background in metal processing with a strong interest in NDT. Success requires structured, conscientious work, excellent documentation skills, technical understanding, and proficiency in standard Office applications, all within a flat hierarchy and collaborative team environment.
