This role is for a (Junior) Project Engineer specializing in critical railway infrastructure, specifically Signaling, Telecommunications, and Electrical Engineering, within the large-scale S4 commuter rail project in Hamburg. Day-to-day responsibilities involve coordinating planning, testing, and construction services for control and safety technology or railway energy systems across designated project sections. The engineer will independently prepare project meetings, ensure thorough documentation, evaluate contract amendments, and support overall project control efforts related to risk, schedule, and cost management. Success requires a university degree in a relevant engineering discipline (such as Electrical or Communications Technology), coupled with initial professional experience in infrastructure project realization and project management knowledge. Required Skills

Education

Successfully completed university degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, Communications Technology, Automation Technology, or a comparable field

Experience

  • Professional knowledge of Contract Law (HOAI, VOB)
  • Ideally, knowledge of administrative regulations (VV-BAU STE, VV BAU)
