The Electronics Development Engineer will play a crucial role in planning and executing complex electronics development projects, utilizing specialized Siemens/Mentor Graphics design tools. Day-to-day tasks involve supporting requirements analysis and architecture definition for new electronic equipment, defining necessary test systems, and actively selecting appropriate electronic and computing components. A core function is the planning, specification, and execution of rigorous functional verification, alongside environmental and EMC qualifications, particularly those related to military standards. The engineer will also be responsible for building early development prototypes, conducting precise measurements, performing detailed failure analysis, and ensuring thorough documentation and presentation of results. This position requires a degree in Electrical Engineering or Telecommunications and initial professional experience in electronics development.
