Job Summary

This role involves ensuring the continuous, safe operation of automated electrical systems across various critical sites, including waterworks, sewage treatment plants, and pumping stations, for one of Germany's major water and wastewater management providers. The Technical Specialist will primarily focus on electrical testing and compliance, performing mandatory inspections of fixed and mobile electrical systems according to DGUV Regulation 3 and conducting explosion protection tests for monitored facilities under the German Industrial Safety Ordinance (BetrSichV). Key responsibilities also include generating detailed inspection reports and organizing the rectification of identified defects. Candidates must possess a completed electro-technical apprenticeship, coupled with either a Master Craftsman or Technician qualification in Electrical Engineering, or extensive professional experience in energy and building technology and electrical system testing. Strong knowledge of relevant regulations (BetrSichV, TRBS, DIN VDE) and a proactive, independent work style are essential for success in this critical infrastructure role.

Completed electro-technical apprenticeship and completed further training as a Master Craftsman or Technician in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent qualification)

Experience

  • Relevant professional experience in energy and building technology
  • Professional experience in testing electrical systems according to DGUV Regulation 3 and BetrSichV §16
  • Professional experience in explosion protection (ideal)
  • Several years of professional experience in testing electrical systems according to DGUV Regulation 3 and BetrSichV §16 (alternative requirement)
