Job Summary

This role involves hands-on laboratory work focusing on aseptic handling and cultivation of mammalian cells and microorganisms across various scales. The Laboratory Technician will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of bioreactors, including cleaning, sterilization, sampling, and harvesting procedures. A core part of the job is performing In-Process Controls (IPC) and routine analytical tasks, such as determining cell density, viability, and metabolite concentrations. Candidates must have practical experience with cell cultures, aseptic techniques, and preferably knowledge of bioreactors and fermentation processes. The role requires meticulous documentation, equipment maintenance (including calibration), adherence to quality management systems (like basic GMP), and active participation in process optimization and troubleshooting to enhance production methods. Strong German and English language skills are essential for success in this dynamic, full-time position.
