Job Summary

This role is ideal for a Scientific Associate passionate about advancing genetic diagnostics, focusing specifically on molecular (hemato-)oncology and somatic genetics. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating patient-oriented diagnostic reports, contributing directly to individualized therapy planning. Day-to-day tasks involve analyzing Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) data, liquid biopsy results, and other somatic genetic analyses using modern laboratory information systems (GePaDo, MOLIS) and specialized databases (Varvis, QCI). A key aspect of the job is the continuous optimization of NGS analysis pipelines and the development of new analytical procedures to expand the diagnostic portfolio. This position requires structured, quality-focused work according to certified quality management systems (ISO 9001/ISO 15189) and a commitment to handling sensitive patient data with the highest responsibility, offering a chance to contribute significantly to medical excellence in a supportive team environment.
