Job Summary

This role involves contributing specialized expertise to patient-oriented molecular diagnostics within the field of Onco-Genetics and Somatic Genetics in Hannover. The Scientific Associate will be responsible for generating diagnostic reports in molecular (hemato-)oncology, utilizing state-of-the-art technology to evaluate Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) and Liquid Biopsy results, thereby influencing personalized therapeutic strategies. Key responsibilities include optimizing NGS evaluation pipelines, developing new analytical procedures, and ensuring all tasks adhere to certified quality management systems (ISO 9001/ISO 15189). Candidates must possess a degree in Biology or a comparable natural science, professional experience in molecular pathology/oncological diagnostics, and proficiency with specific laboratory information systems and genetic databases, contributing actively to the advancement of diagnostic processes.
