Job Summary

The Bergische Universität Wuppertal is seeking a highly qualified Research Associate to independently manage a sub-project focused on process and material development for binder-based additive manufacturing of ceramics. Key responsibilities include optimizing feedstock properties, printing parameters, and heat treatments, alongside conducting comprehensive material analyses. The role requires documentation, presentation of scientific results, and the creative pursuit of new research approaches in additive manufacturing. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Chemistry, possesses a strong understanding of materials science and macromolecular chemistry, and has excellent knowledge and experience in binder-based additive manufacturing and the heat treatment/sintering of inorganic materials.
