Job Summary

This role involves comprehensive financial planning and controlling within the Finance Department of the Vorpommern-Greifswald district administration, located in Anklam. The officer will be responsible for setting up and maintaining investment controlling, independently preparing and evaluating financial reports, and conducting municipal financial analysis to assess the financial health of local communities. A core function is the autonomous preparation of the annual budget ordinance, including the budget plan, investment program, and necessary supplementary budgets, ensuring all data is accurately entered into the financial system (HKR). The position requires strong expertise in public sector budget law, high responsibility, and the ability to manage complex financial execution matters such as budgetary freezes and allocation of funds, making it ideal for a public administration or business economics graduate seeking a stable, impactful career on the Baltic Sea coast.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Public Administration (Diplomverwaltungswirt (FH) / Bachelor of Laws), or Certified Administrative Specialist (Verwaltungsfachwirt), or completed Angestelltenlehrgang II, or a university/college degree in Business Administration.

Experience

  • Professional experience in public administration (required for Business Administration graduates)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legal frameworks, especially budget law
  • Desirable: Further training as a Certified Balance Sheet Accountant
