Job Summary

The Federal Agency for Cartography and Geodesy (BKG) is seeking a Scientific Staff Member to join the Geodetic Observatory Wettzell team for a 5-year fixed-term contract. This role involves project-based collaboration, focusing on the development and operation of advanced radio telescopes. Key responsibilities include advancing high-frequency components and fiber optic links, planning new telescope construction, executing measurement campaigns, and correlating VLBI raw data within international scientific networks. A significant aspect of the job involves implementing AI-based methods in system technology and data processing, as well as ensuring critical infrastructure requirements are met, including adherence to ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 standards. Candidates must possess a university Master's degree in a technical or scientific field such as Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Computer Science, along with strong German and English communication skills and a willingness to undergo a security clearance.

Required Skills
