Job Summary

This is a unique opportunity for a motivated PhD candidate to join the Systems Neuroimmunology Laboratory in Munich, focusing on cutting-edge research at the intersection of immunology, computational science, and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The role, funded by the CRC1713, involves planning and executing large-scale experiments using human patient samples and advanced AI-driven analyses to decode molecular mechanisms of immune suppression. Day-to-day tasks include optimizing omics protocols, performing immune cell assays, and collaborating closely with a highly interdisciplinary team of biologists, clinicians, and data scientists. Candidates should hold a Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Immunology, Bioinformatics) and possess a strong willingness to learn and apply computational approaches, even without prior formal AI training. The position offers secure, meaningful work within a leading research environment, aiming to translate natural protective mechanisms into novel therapeutic strategies for neuroimmunologic diseases.
