Job Summary

The GWDG, a leading German university computing center and IT competence hub for the Max Planck Society, is seeking an AI Solutions Engineer to join their interdisciplinary High-Performance Computing (HPC) team. This role focuses on developing AI-based prototypes and solutions to address specific challenges for external customers, including universities, public institutions, and companies, often within the context of sensitive and critical infrastructure (KISSKI). Day-to-day tasks involve collaborating directly with customers to gather requirements, designing AI solutions leveraging existing infrastructure, integrating diverse technologies like databases and ML frameworks, and iteratively refining prototypes based on feedback. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills, experience with Python, application design, and Linux integration, and must be fluent in English.
