Job Summary
Join Siemens Healthineers as a Service Engineer specializing in the Silac product portfolio, ensuring global service and technical support for X-ray generation systems. In this role, you will be the primary technical contact for worldwide customers, handling support via phone and email, and providing on-site assistance globally when necessary. A key responsibility involves conducting technical training for customer technicians in English and analyzing collected system data to collaborate with R&D and Quality Management teams on sustainable fault prevention measures. You will also contribute to product improvement by performing technical fault analysis, identifying weaknesses in manufacturing and the field, and independently creating or modifying technical documentation and spare parts kits. This position requires a background in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Medical Technology, fluency in both German and English, and significant flexibility for worldwide travel up to 40%. The role offers flexibility, including the possibility of working remotely up to 60% within Germany.
Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Medical Technology, or comparable; alternatively, a completed technical vocational training combined with a further technician qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in electrical systems (ideally)
- Experience in signal tracing and fault correction using circuit diagrams
- Multi-year professional experience in the technical field (if holding a technical vocational training and further technician qualification)

- Willingness and flexibility to travel worldwide up to 40%; ability to provide telephone standby availability between 8:00 AM and 10:00 PM (in coordination with colleagues); willingness to work full-time or part-time (minimum 30 hours/week).
