Job Summary

This role involves supporting the development and design of modern drive systems and on-board power supply networks specifically for high-speed trains. The System Designer will be responsible for requirement analysis and system design of electrical components, spanning from current collection (catenary) to power transmission to the rails. A core part of the job involves optimizing systems in collaboration with expert departments and suppliers, ensuring compliance with requirements such as acoustics, EMC, environmental conditions, and longevity. You will use both internal and commercial simulation tools (like MATLAB/Simulink or Plecs) to determine the performance of the drive and power electronics. This position requires accompanying the entire component development process, from concept through to approval and validation, working within international teams, and participating in component and vehicle testing both on test benches and tracks. Candidates should hold a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and possess excellent German and English language skills.
