Job Summary

This role seeks a highly motivated Research Associate and Doctoral Candidate to join the Institute for Physiology and Pathophysiology, focusing on the molecular and functional composition of ion channels and their role in disease mechanisms. The successful candidate will utilize advanced electrophysiological techniques, including Patch-Clamp and TEVC, alongside molecular biology, biochemistry, and fluorescence microscopy methods. Day-to-day tasks involve scientific services in research and teaching, conducting experiments using the *Xenopus laevis* oocyte system and Zebrafish (*Danio rerio*) models, and performing molecular work like mutagenesis and Western Blot analysis. This position offers the opportunity for independent scientific work leading to a doctoral qualification (PhD), making it an excellent opportunity for early-career scientists with a background in Human Biology or Biology who are eager to contribute to cutting-edge physiological research.
