Job Summary

The Technical University of Deggendorf, a global leader in robot-based Computed Tomography (CT) for large and complex components, is seeking a Doctoral Candidate to advance their Robot-CT system and enhance image processing capabilities. This two-year, full-time research position involves developing cutting-edge methods for image data denoising and defect segmentation, implementing algorithms for Robot-CT control, and executing CT scans in collaboration with research and industry partners. The ideal candidate holds a Master's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, and possesses strong knowledge of programming and image processing. This role offers the opportunity to conduct high-impact research in a dynamic, international environment, contributing to quality assurance in sectors like automotive and aerospace, while also mentoring students.

Required Skills

Education

Master's or Diploma degree (University level) in Computer Science, Sensor Technology, Robotics, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable technical field.

Experience

  • Professional experience or interest in Robotics, Sensor Technology, and Artificial Intelligence methods
  • Experience in conducting CT scans with research and industry partners
