Job Summary

This role offers a motivated student the opportunity to join the Cyber Defence Center within Schwarz IT, supporting the entire digital infrastructure of the Schwarz Group. As a Working Student in Detection Engineering, you will actively contribute to the Research, Automation, and Development teams, playing a crucial part in continuously advancing the company's security strategy. Day-to-day responsibilities include enhancing data engineering processes in cyber security by helping to design and implement robust, scalable data pipelines for efficient security incident analysis. You will also assist in the administration and expansion of the comprehensive data basis that underpins all detection mechanisms, focusing on ensuring data quality and availability. Furthermore, you will collaborate with experts to optimize existing detection rules and develop innovative methods for the early identification of cyber threats, adapting detection systems to emerging threat landscapes. The ideal candidate is a student of (Business) Informatics with strong analytical skills, teamwork capability, and confident communication in both German (B2) and English.

Experience

  • Initial experience in Cybersecurity and handling security-relevant data (Ideally)
  • Initial insights into data administration or a similar area (Ideally)
