Job Summary

The Federal Real Estate Agency (BImA) is seeking an IT System Administrator to join their Information Technology division in Bonn, focusing on data center operations. This role is crucial for maintaining and optimizing the organization's digital infrastructure, which includes a virtualized Microsoft environment across two data centers with over 120 physical servers, primarily utilizing Microsoft Hyper-V. Key responsibilities involve the maintenance and expansion of hardware and software (servers, storage, network, WLAN), administration of virtual environments (Hyper-V and VMware), and managing Windows Servers, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate must possess a technical university degree (Bachelor's or equivalent) in Computer Science or a related field, coupled with strong foundational knowledge of hardware, network components, and operating systems. Success in this position requires a strategic, solution-oriented approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams and locations, ensuring the secure and smooth operation of BImA's digital backbone.

Required Skills

Education

Completed technical university degree (Bachelor or equivalent) in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable qualification. Alternatively, qualification for the higher technical civil service.

Experience

  • Knowledge in conducting fault analysis for disruptions and problems
  • Professional experience in ITIL processes (Service Operation)
