Job Summary

This role requires an expert Project Manager to steer and implement the EU Project DECIDE within the City of Freiburg's Digital and IT department. Day-to-day tasks involve coordinating use cases, managing test phases, and ensuring technical alignment with various European project partners. A core responsibility is the technical content implementation, including crucial data management tasks such as data modeling, metadata enrichment, and developing legal data access models. The manager will also oversee comprehensive project controlling, including budget administration, reporting, and ensuring procurement processes adhere to funding guidelines. Successful candidates must hold a scientific university degree in MINT subjects or a relevant field combined with professional experience in municipal innovation. Fluency in both German and English is mandatory, offering an opportunity to contribute significantly to municipal data excellence and strategic urban development.

Required Skills

Education

Completed scientific university degree in MINT subjects (Mathematics, Informatics, Natural Sciences, Technology) OR completed scientific university degree in municipal innovation, strategic administrative development/transformation, or related field. Further training or certifications in Data Management, Data Governance, and Data Services are preferred.

Experience

  • Professional experience in political decision-making processes
  • Experience with committee work
  • Several years of professional experience in municipal innovation or strategic administrative development/transformation (if non-MINT degree is held)

Additional
