This Research Associate/PhD Student position, funded by the DFG's "AirMetro" Research Training Group (RTG 2947) at TUD Dresden, focuses on developing robust communication and computing frameworks for highly automated multi-UAV operations in urban and disaster management scenarios. The core work involves researching novel communication solutions, including 6G standards and wireless mesh networks, combined with edge-assisted computation and Cooperative Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (C-SLAM). The goal is to ensure resilient, mission-critical performance even under adverse conditions like GNSS jamming or degraded radio environments.
