Job Summary

This full-time, fixed-term postdoctoral position involves establishing and leading an interdisciplinary research group focused on Drug Analytics and Biomarkers within the Institute of Pharmacology and Toxicology. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and applying advanced analytical methods, particularly quantitative mass spectrometry and chromatographic separation techniques, for analyzing drugs, metabolites, and biomarkers in clinical cohorts. Key research areas include drug metabolism, pharmacokinetics, and toxicological mechanisms, with a preferred focus on cardiovascular, neurovascular, and tumor diseases. Day-to-day tasks involve conducting analyses in various media (cell cultures, tissues, body fluids) for preclinical projects, identifying diagnostic biomarkers, and actively securing external funding. The role also requires independent teaching duties in pharmacology and toxicology, demanding a strong background in bioanalytics, excellent communication skills in both German and English, and a commitment to building independent research networks.
