Job Summary

This position seeks a highly motivated Research Associate to join the Institute of Chemistry at the Faculty of Process and Systems Engineering, focusing on the synthesis and investigation of functional coordination materials, particularly Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs). The core research involves developing MOFs and metal complexes for cutting-edge applications in nanomedicine, biosensors, or biocatalysis, aligning with the goal of creating materials for a healthier and sustainable future. Day-to-day tasks include conducting high-level synthetic research, publishing findings in international journals, presenting results at conferences, and assisting with third-party funding acquisition. Furthermore, the role requires undertaking teaching duties in German and supervising student theses. Candidates must hold an above-average Master's degree in Chemistry or a related field and possess demonstrable experience in porous materials or coordination chemistry.
