Job Summary

This role involves the technical and operational support and administration of communication and deployment tools, and their associated applications, used by the Saxon Police. As an IT System Administrator, you will be crucial in managing the IT Lifecycle and Application Management processes for critical police applications, including those supporting mobile police work (like the Interactive Patrol Car and Bodycam systems). Day-to-day tasks include system configuration, monitoring technical components, managing user accounts and permissions, and providing 2nd-level support through incident and problem management. You will also prepare and conduct software tests, maintain system documentation, and collaborate with internal infrastructure teams and external 3rd-level support providers. The ideal candidate must have a completed IT vocational training or comparable experience, coupled with several years of professional experience in application management, and possess strong communication and problem-solving skills to handle complex technical challenges.
