Job Summary

This role seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to act as a Technical Project Lead, driving the planning and realization of complex new construction and modification projects for high-voltage substations, HVDC, and compensation systems within the regional highest-voltage grid. Day-to-day responsibilities involve preparing project documentation, conducting technical-economic comparisons, managing procurement processes, and overseeing external service providers to ensure adherence to technical and safety standards from planning through commissioning. The successful candidate will utilize organizational skills to manage project success, budget, and schedule, while also optimizing existing technical solutions and developing new technologies for critical plant components like transformers and MV/LV systems. Essential qualifications include a degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field) or relevant vocational experience, coupled with fluent German (C1) and English (B2) language skills. This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of specialized technical areas and contribute innovative ideas within established project teams.

Required Skills

Education

University Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, or Industrial Engineering (focusing on Electrical Engineering); or Vocational Qualification as an Electrician/Master Electrician

Experience

  • Completed university degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable field (e.g., Automation Technology, Industrial Engineering with Electrical focus)
  • Alternatively, completed vocational training and professional experience as an Electrician or Master Electrician with relevant specialization
