Job Summary

This role, based at the Technical University of Clausthal (Institute of Mathematics and Computing Center), involves the autonomous planning, implementation, and maintenance of critical IT solutions supporting academic research and teaching. The specialist will focus heavily on developing and maintaining the institute's IT infrastructure, particularly CPU cluster servers, and ensuring the smooth operation of pool rooms. A key component of the job is providing comprehensive IT support (First and Second-Level Incident Management) to staff, primarily within Linux and MacOS desktop environments. Candidates must possess vocational training as an IT Specialist (System Integration preferred) and demonstrate strong practical skills in operating system configuration, server maintenance, and documentation.
