Job Summary

This Senior System Engineer role is critical for maintaining and evolving the Unified Communication (UC) services for a major German defense digitalization partner. The daily responsibilities involve rigorous monitoring of central Backoffice systems, executing configuration changes on core UC components, and actively troubleshooting complex disturbances within the deployed solutions. A key function is the planning, processing, and coordination of changes within the central collaboration environment, alongside maintaining comprehensive technical documentation and providing essential problem support. The role requires participation in projects and the regular assumption of on-call duties. The ideal candidate must possess a relevant IT degree or equivalent qualification, coupled with at least five years of experience in the Collaboration field. Essential technical expertise includes deep knowledge of Cisco VoIP networks, Cisco Unified Communications Manager, SIP, and SBC administration, validated by a current CCNP-Collaboration certification. Experience with automation tools like Ansible and agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) is also required. This position offers the opportunity to contribute directly to the digital future and security readiness of the German Armed Forces.
